Snoek #18 was delivered to me by VeloAds on March 19th. Since then I've ridden 780 km but found it a bit "tight" for me thus reluctantly I've decided to resell it. I'm just on the maximum suggested height (178cm)but I have relatively short legs and a longer back resulting in a very tight fit around the shoulders. It's certainly a very efficient and light machine but less suitable for my type of riding than my much heavier eQV. On a typical 40-50 km ride I easily average similar (unassisted!) speeds to my e-assisted QV for the same human effort!
Specification: Two colours (as with all my previous machines) Lower (Blue RAL 5005) and Upper (Yellow 1023). Dual mirrors with Blue cones, 155 Cranks, 90mm drum brakes, the usual Dronten electrics , 2x11 derailleurs. (other standard details at http://www.velomobiel.nl/snoek/technische_gegevens.php) NOTE: Some minor paint damage on LHS after a slight argument with some bollards- only superficial , has been "touched-up" but still visible at very close examination. as new in all other respects. Inspection and local test rides welcome at my place in Ware (Herts). Adjustments no problem Price- £6500 ono (Cost Eu10,000/ £8600)- no silly offers please . PM me here for contact details.

HI Warekiwi,
Is your Snoek still available / for sale? Like anyone else I’m uncertain whether I’ll fit inside and be comfortable, but I am fairly skinny and between the recommended height ranges (at 175cm). I’m pleased you bought it from my friend John W at Velo-Ads - means he’s made some money for his family somewhere along the line so I don’t feel *too* bad if I buy it from you secondhand! I’m due in London some time in the next couple of weeks (TBC) and would like a test ride if that’s OK. Also waiting for my flat to sell (imminent, I’m told, but not holding my breath). Once / if exchange happens I’ll have a bit of money to treat myself. If I like the Snoek I’ll buy it at the asking price. Hopefully the stars will align! Hope that’s not too round the houses…. It might be quicker to send a pm on here or on fb's velomobile club gb - John Highet is Warekiwi's name.

Hi John.
At the moment I can't afford it but if it's still available in about 9 months time I'll defiantly buy it as it's exactly the spec I want. I need two Velomobiles as one is not enough. I've discovered that they are much kinder to my heart than my heavy trike even with low gearing. All the best. Roy ![]() Edited by RoyMacdonald - 19 November 2022 at 7:55pm |

Hi Roy
Sorry but it was sold today to another BHPC member. You may see it at future club meetings along with my older Quest XS. They are both in my blue and yellow colour scheme. Perhaps you should start saviing for a new one from Dronten? All the best, Regards John Highet
