I'm looking for decent condition/ NOS SRAM Rocket/ Attack 2(or 3)x9 grip shifters. I have them on multiple bikes, but the grips are getting sticky. Ideas for good alternative twist shifters welcome too, must be for 2:1 systems (e.g., Shimano).

I read an article on removing stickiness from the rubber. Only thing found to work was petrol. Haven’t tried it yet on the items I have but it might be worth it,if the rubber isn’t too worn.
Understandable, we used to remove tub/rim glue by using petrol on racing wheels.

I would think using petrol may make matters worse because it dissolves rubber. Some of my shifters are beyond saving anyway; I was thinking of trying to modify a pair by removing the rubber and replacing it with cork bar tape. SRAM DualDrive shifters are terrible too, fortunately I just managed to get two decent ones off eBay.
