Just wondering what new tracks we should do in 2013.
London velodrome?
Blyton Park?
Coltishall airfield?
Blenheim Palace?

Drop Hog hill and stourport?
Current fleet: Milan SL MK2 #027, Fujin SL II, Beany!

Over to whoever becomes our new Competition Secretary...

Two candidates at the moment - Mike and Andrew.

I would hope we wouldn't consider Blenheim Palace after the way they messed us around this year...

Contrary to popular belief Curborough is still available by the way. The Pedal Car Club raced there a couple of weeks ago and already have it booked for next year...

The last I heard was that curbrough was going to be bulldozed to build an "eco town". Has that plan now been scrapped?

Apparently so... We race pedal cars there every year and the track will definitely be there next year.

The situation at the time of my last discussion with the (very nice) chap who manages bookings for Curborough is that they honour what is effectively a rolling annual booking with BPCC.  Their calendar - at weekends anyway - is pretty much full, meaning that it's difficult or impossible to slot an extra event in.

This is also how Hillingdon works.  Happily, we have our two annual slots in their calendar.

The pedal car race was a week later than usual this year and (subject to confirmation at the Pedal Car Club AGM) will be Saturday 28th September next year... I think there is a pretty good chance the track may be available the next day if we wanted it but we would probably have to get in fairly quickly....

Sorry, I posted in the wrong thread but at present there is no imminent danger of Curborough "getting bulldozed for an eco-town" whatever that means.

The amount of little bits and pieces of new infrastructure they are putting in suggests they are fairly confident of being there for the long term.
