We'll be at Darley Moor, Rob (unless it's deep in snow!)
It'll be a lovely birthday outing for Judith

I think the plan is to test out the timing system at Darley Moor if possible...

Aldersley is pretty full before Chrimbo, we could have the velodrome for 2.5 hours on a sat morning! Not much use.

Yup, Darley Moor is booked for the 25th Feb. Format of races subject to the weather and timing system testing requirements but probably a series of short scratch races.
I plan on having facilities for hot drinks available.
From Derby station head through Derby and pick up the Ashbourne Road, take the Ashbourne bypass and hang a left up to Darley Moor. I've done that route on the GLR (52t small ring) and it is ok on a Sunday morning but can be fast/busy at other times (and there are prettier routes). Around 10-12 miles - steady drag all the way :(
Probably similar ride from Uttoxeter...

We have a spare room available for up to two people needing accomodation for the Cannock/Darley Moor weekend. En-suite TV and wood pigeon. About 40 mins from DM, probably around 1 hr from Ian's ride. Secure cycle storage (you don't want to be leaving your P&J in the car overnight ). Send me a PM (Andrew S) if interested.

The wood pigeon is quite sweet at this time of year. Me being the former resisident of the humble abode. It doesnt become a nuicence untill early morning and even then it gives you a reason to get up.
All though the tv is not cable it provides of good picture on all 5 channels.
