Is it happening?

I can't work out whose turn it is if Germany doesn't step up to the mark - Denmark? Switzerland?? the USA???

Anyway, some of us have to book holidays months in advance to be sure of getting them, so if any of our people with fingers on the pulse of international goings-on knows where and when...

And another thing! Cyclevision - is there a date, firm or tentative, for that yet?

And some of us have to organise next years' race calendar (and book holidays).  Expect to see something here over the weekend about 2010 BHPC race dates, which are all but sorted out now.

I've been in touch with people who know about Cyclevision and a bit about the worlds.  I don't want to post details from PM conversations about any reasons, but the latest word I've had from each is that it is not certain whether or not there will be Worlds or Cyclevision in 2010.

Aha... So there is a gap in the market for an international event...

If we are doing a Fowlmead weekend this year, what about inviting our European friends over??

They'll all be gagging for an event if they are missing out on Cyclevision and World Championships...
It's in a good spot for anybody coming through the tunnel, camping is available (I'd be happy to speak to Cottington - I've been back there several times fishing with Aaron so we know them fairly well now!)

Possibly some social rides the following week if anybody is keen?

Alan, you're tempting me into releasing a teaser to the main story...

Oh, alright, then.  Yes, we're having a weekend event at Fowlmead.  And it's 1st/2nd May, so a Bank Holiday on the Monday for social rides.

This, as for all the other dates shortly to be published, is subject to written confirmation with the venue.

Want to travel overseas, to race in an international field?

Jersey 2010 - the confirmed dates are 28,29 & 30th May.

For those of you who weren't there this year, take a look here

What are the races?

I've never been to Jersey - my only knowledge is from Robin Hood, Men in Tights!

Racing is life...
Anything which happens before or afterwards is just standing around waiting to race....

Unfortunately no-one is coming forward with the event so given how late it is getting I think a Worlds next year is unlikely.
Just book holiday in the desperate hope you might get a dry spell.

Off to do some bog road snorkelling...

There you go, sorted!
