True. He was only half a lap ahead of me in the first race so I thought I could catch a tow as he came past in the second race but not a chance. 30mph is spectacular for part-faired class - well done Mike Clap. I'm staying unfaired.

I know Mike is a bit wrinkly, but 70! really?

And some speed indeed!  He should take up bike designing as a profession!

Ian,

As another wrinkly 70 year old, I could do with some career advice too. I have been trying my hand at training snails to sprint, but find the adrenaline rush a bit too 'heady'..... Any ideas?

Ah, well I was going to say try slugs, more aerodynamic see!  But then adrenaline surge might be even more pronounced!!

I think potting shed beer brewing is more your style, but we'll call it a micro brewery and charge A LOT!

A friend of mine tried training snails to race.

He had the idea of removing their shells to improve the power to weight ratio but it only made them sluggish. Wink

That Business Guru Perry, is a genius! Beer is not my tankard, but Poitin is my tumbler .... Can't use the potting shed Ian, its where I keep the wife's mink -vicious little critters. Confused However, my Sunrider Velomobile is vastly underutilised, so I'll convert into a mobile still. With a new 500watt motor fitted, it will outrun the local Biking Bobby - It will be like a remake of The Dukes of Hazaard, but with Wurzels! Cheers matey, do come round for a slug or two!

I'm down Yeovilton way on Tuesday night, stopping in a place called Martock (Ash House Hotel), do you know it?

Yes. I have only been there to film a wedding a couple of years ago. It had a good menu albeit a tad expensive (for an OAP!). Plenty of character, not 'over renovated'. Quiet location. Pleasant grounds. The Red Room dining room was smart. Can't remember much more. Plenty of pubs around if you don't want formal eating e.g. Royal Oak at Over Stratton..... Will you have a chance to call in? I'm 10-15 minutes away....

Alan
