No tag read, annoyingly, but he's not visible in the video of Rob crossing the line, so I think the computer's estimate of 2.7 seconds ahead of Rob for the missing finish sounds about right.

By way of example, here's the sprint finish between me and Lars in the 40 minute race.  My tag read was about 5ms earlier (and both tag reads were about a bike-length before we reached the line), but the video allows us to see who crossed the line first.

That really is very cool!!
All we need now is for that old bloke waving the flag to keep out of the way of the camera!

New rule: daft old gets with flegs have to stand on the opposite side of the track from the Timelords' Lair.  I shall propose it at the AGM Wink

Okay, I've used the new video SCIENCE to fill in some missing lap times for William Tulett, by spotting him in the background of other people's passings[1].  This has given CrossMgr enough data to extrapolate reasonable lap times for the rest, though his final finish position is still undetermined (I think the computer's being unreasonably pessimistic for his final lap time, thobut).

Other changes also applied, and results-re-uploaded.

And I've generated the points table, which is at http://www.bhpc.org.uk/Data/Sites/1/media/events/events22/01colchester/colchester.html (and the currently-identical season table is in the usual place).

(I'm assuming a 50% weighting for the two races.)

[1] At one point I spotted him on the far side of the track, and came perilously close to trying to be clever using maths, but fortunately he also appeared near the finish line about minute earlier.

Thanks Kim, interesting to see the stats.

As mentioned on Facebook, sorry unfortunately I wasn't "car free". I won't be touring the circuits, so hope it doesn't impact results.

Done.  That's an easy change at this point, as I'll be regenerating the results to account for William's timings anyway.

Thanks Kim, tbh I think the car free entries may generally need validating ;-)

Thanks,

Tim.

In principle lots of things need validating.  In practice, in the absence of anyone volunteering to be official bike inspector / car-park monitor, people can argue it out with CompSec if it looks like a something's seriously wrong.  :)

The car-free class is mostly a gentle nudge to encourage people to ride to more events.  And some extra ballast for David to fit in his banananana bags on the way home from the AGM.

Retrospective class-changes are pretty much inevitable, as people swap HPVs or remove fairings due to mechanical or logistics problems on the day.  We changed the way the software works a couple of years ago in a way that makes it simpler to do.
