Ian,

Sorry to learn of your woes. How about borrowing my Sunrider (Sram Dual Drive set up) for a season? You may not earn too many pointst due to its weight, but will build up your muscles for 2013!

It's a real offer, as I shan't be using it this year, as I'm grounded for a few months following surgery and the best I'll achieve is a couple of tentative rides on the Vortex towards the end of the season.

It even has its own trailer for transportation.

Needless to say I am now not racing again this year, not in extremely Wobbly Bob anyway, well that was a very expensive 10 minutes racing, works out at £540/hr!

I'm not happy Cry

Do you still have the old bob body?
Why not race your Quest XS??
Or make a coroplast fairing for bob?? Or is the chassis bent too?

You may find this vid intresting:

If you don't have time to build a correx fairing then I maybe able to knock you up something in a few days for a few nice crisp £20 notes.

Thanks for the offer Lee.  Old body doesn't exist any more (i should have kept it, but no space).  I probably will race the new Quest, i wasn't intending to, but at least there is something from May onwards.  I will mull the current body problem over, maybe make another, but might try heating and flattening the affected bits first if succesful it will be repainted white and carried on the roof rack!

Jeff.

These photos are taken from the starts of the two 1 hour races:

They were taken from a video which is why the quality isn't so sharp. I'm sure there'll be others with better photos.

Came along to watch the racing the other weekend, with my trusty but very slow Yuba Mundo cargo bike and my 'not in the rule book' dog Wilma the Westie.

I had a great time; talked to a lot of you, some about the machines, some about the dog (typical), video'd some of the racing and then left thinking......I want to race, it looks so much fun.....

Now through the Joys of ebay I own a slightly ropey (we all need to start somewhere) trike....am a member of the club have fashioned a chainring protector, dug out my old elbow guards (sadly after my first crash) and am looking forward to racing with you all at Castle Combe (I will be the one whose legs still need to get used the the laid back position)!

See you all at the end of the month.......

Hi Sam,

I've just changed your forum status to reflect the fact that you are now a club member... You should be able to see the "Members Only" bits of the forum now...

Make sure somebody shows you the secret handshake at Castle Coombe... Big smile
